TRY GLORIA!

On this page you will be able to try a few of the Compact Digital Orchestra's many features. using your mouse, move the cursor over the various keys below, without clicking it. When the cursor is over a key, you should see the name of that key. If you click on the key, you should hear a sound sample representing one of the functions of that key. A few of the keys won't do anything here - LOUDER, SOFTER, and SUSTAIN, but you will still see the name of the key.
Note - You may need a recent browser version, I.E. 4.0 or Netscape 4.0 or better and the Real Audio plugin.

 

 
 


  • Start by clicking on the PLAY key in the lower right corner. You will hear the default arrangement of Hymn #366 - Blessed Assurance
  • If you click on either the STOP key or the PAUSE key, the music should stop.
  • Click on any of the blue TRACK keys at the top, and you will hear the same hymn played with the corresponding track emphasized.
  • The white FASTER, SLOWER, HIGH, and LOW keys function according to the name.
  • Click on one of the gray instrument keys on the left side to hear hymn #366 as it would sound with various instruments. There are many more instruments available in a real Gloria.
  • Click on one of the yellow number keys to hear short excerpts of ten different hymns. (The real Gloria plays about 600 hymns.)
  • The (*) & (#) OPTION keys have numerous functions, which would be indentified on the LCD DISPLAY. On this page, these keys will play two additional instruments.
  • The oval ENSEMBLE key here plays a combination of several instruments. On a real Gloria, there are 18 different ensemble combinations.
